Hi, I'm Sidy.
If you’re reading this that means you want to get to know me better. If thats the case then you’re in the right place! I was born in Los Angeles and raised in the Bay Area but have lived in multiple cities in between, including a couple overseas.
I graduated from UC Merced in 2015 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Science, after which I dove into the exciting world of Digital Marketing.
I learned a lot during this chapter of my life. With my background in psychology I was able to apply research methods to my marketing projects, allowing me to scientifically approach aspects such as content creation and copy writing. Using methods like A/B testing and user feedback I was able to craft marketing material that produced results. While this process was extremely fulfilling, I found my self craving a more creative pursuit.
This longing for a more creative career is what inspired me to chase after my new found passion – UX/UI design.
Drawing from my experiences in data-driven research, I approach each design project with a strategic mindset, analyzing user interactions and feedback to refine and optimize the user experience. This iterative process allows me to craft interfaces that are not only visually appealing but also functionally effective, aligning seamlessly with user expectations and needs.
My ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between technology and human emotion, ensuring that every user touchpoint elicits a positive emotional response. I believe that understanding the nuances of how users think and feel empowers me to design interfaces that establish a strong connection, fostering trust and loyalty between users and the digital products they engage with.
Using both my educational and professional experience, I am able to approach UX/UI design with the insights of a researcher to better guide design choices. Mixed with my experience in Digital Marketing to create a product that best addresses the users needs. I believe that is the perfect recipe to make life as a UX/UI designer both challenging and rewarding.
